must endeavor to "create" the harvestable ecosystems such as artificial fishing grounds and the release of nurtured larvas.
・ To balance developments with natural environments, the man must endeavor to preserve the environments in the form of "artificially managed systems." where the shallow marine geography may be altered with inevitable modification to the quality of the water and substrate to accomodate harvestable resources.
3. Environments must be managed
In order to prevent our environments from sliding into climatic phase. the man must exercise judicious managements to preserve their desirable attributes. Such efforts require monetary investments; they also may yield returns in the form of, say, fishery harvests and outdoors recreational opportunities. In order to maximize such returns, the environment creation efforts should have dedicated returns as their objectives.
4. Pros and cons for biodiversity, and wildlife protection
The marine life fit for human utilization belongs to the high echelon of the food chain, whose reproduction relies on ecosystem. On the other hand, the ecosystem useful to the man does not necessarily belong to a space rich in biodiversity. that is needed is the technology that will preserve the species useful to man as the preferred component in the ecosystem. Also needed is our ability to quantify the roles of the marine microorganisms in the context of the marine environment.
It is imperative to protect the endangered species. Such efforts consist essentially of conservation of genetic resources and are motivated by our love of all things alive.
